About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Development Manager to join a forward-thinking Housing Development Team in North London.
The team plays a vital role in the strategic development of the Council’s Housing Revenue Account (HRA) portfolio, leading on borough-wide housing and regeneration projects and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of major housing projects, including Meridian Water Phases 1 & 2.
  • Manage scheme development, procurement of delivery partners, and overall project delivery.
  • Oversee major regeneration projects with socio-economic outcomes that align with the Council’s strategic vision.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders — including Government departments, GLA, developers, and community partners.
  • Commission and coordinate technical, legal, and commercial advisors to support project delivery.
  • Manage communications and promotional activities to raise the profile of regeneration projects.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based reporting and decision-making insights to Senior Officers and Members.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience leading housing development or regeneration projects from inception to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of technical, legal, commercial, and socio-economic factors influencing major schemes.
  • Skilled in preparing business plans, appraisals, and financial models.
  • Experience negotiating development agreements and professional appointments.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, project reporting, and budget management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills — able to convey complex information clearly.
  • Experienced people manager and mentor, supporting junior team members’ growth.
  • Organised, proactive, and a natural self-starter.
