Roofing Estimator – Barnet
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum + Car Allowance
Location: Barnet, North London
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor specialising in social housing works, who are looking for an experienced Roofing Estimator to join their commercial team based in Barnet.
Roofing is a major part of the company’s service offering and plays a key role in their success across the sector. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in roofing to join a supportive and knowledgeable team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing a variety of roofing projects across both traditional tenders and measured term/schedule of rates contracts. Prior experience with both is preferred, although full training can be provided for the latter.
You will work closely with senior members of the commercial team to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, helping to secure and deliver key projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Pricing work using both traditional and schedule of rates methods
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
• Ensuring all submissions are accurate and submitted on time

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Estimator with a strong background in roofing
• Familiarity with measured term contracts and schedule of rates
• Excellent technical knowledge of roofing systems
• Strong numerical and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
