We’re recruiting for a Policy Officer to join a Strategic Communications team with a London based Royal College and regulatory body, supporting senior colleagues across policy, influencing, and stakeholder engagement. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone with a strong interest in public affairs and policy who enjoys working at the heart of strategic decision-making.

In this role you will support senior leaders through high-quality briefings, research, and speech preparation, ensuring they are fully equipped for meetings, events, and external engagement. You’ll also contribute to policy development by undertaking research and analysis, monitoring relevant external developments, and helping to identify opportunities for influencing and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare briefings, speeches, slides, and research to support senior colleagues in meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Undertake policy research and analysis to inform influencing work and organisational priorities.
  • Monitor internal activity and external policy developments to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate activity and ensure accurate, up-to-date information is shared.
  • Support senior-level communications, including drafting responses to correspondence and providing advice on policy and engagement matters.
  • Represent the organisation at meetings and events, as required, maintaining professional and strategic engagement.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with senior stakeholders will be key to success.

Desirable Experience:
  • Experience working within a Royal College, professional membership body, or similar institution is highly desirable.
