Salary: PAYE: £13.26 per hour | Umbrella: £16.84 per hour

Are you a reliable and detail-oriented individual with a passion for maintaining clean public spaces? NRW People is excited to offer a temporary role in Merthyr Tydfil, based at Cyfarthfa Park. Starting 11 October 2025, this 40 week position provides short-term sickness cover, offering a part-time opportunity to support a scenic community space on weekends.

What You’ll Do:

• Clean and maintain toilets at Cyfarthfa Park, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for visitors.
• Conduct litter picking across the park to uphold its cleanliness and appeal.
• Work weekends only (4 hours each on Saturday and Sunday), adhering to health and safety standards.
• Report any issues or maintenance needs to ensure a safe and pleasant park experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• A proactive individual with a commitment to cleanliness and public service, ideally with experience in maintenance or cleaning roles.
• Ability to work independently, with good time management for a 4-hour shift pattern (Saturday and Sunday).
• Physical capability to perform cleaning and litter-picking tasks in an outdoor setting.
• Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Merthyr Tydfil, CF47 8RE.

Essential Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Criminal Convictions Declaration (to be submitted with application).
• Signed Confidentiality Agreement (to be submitted with application).
• Up-to-date CV.
• 2 years of references/work history.
