The Role
A Good-rated secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking a committed and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their Humanities department from February 2026 on a long-term supply basis. The role involves delivering engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to develop strong historical knowledge, source analysis skills, and exam readiness.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, and maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement. This role would suit an experienced History teacher or an ECT looking to gain long-term experience within a supportive department.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
- Have experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering GCSE-aligned content
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
- Be organised, reliable, and committed to pupil progress
