Science Teacher (Chemistry) – Birmingham
 
A supportive secondary school in Birmingham is looking for a committed Science Teacher to join them from January 2026. This is a long-term supply role suited to someone who enjoys shaping curiosity in KS3–KS5 learners, with a particular focus on Chemistry.

The Role
You’ll deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Science curriculum, with Chemistry as your specialist area. The role involves planning, marking and supporting pupils through key assessments and examinations. You’ll work closely with a stable department that values collaboration, clear communication and consistent routines. Strong behaviour management and the ability to differentiate effectively will set you up for success.
 
The Candidate
You’ll hold QTS (or be completing your ECT induction) and have a solid understanding of the KS3–KS5 Science curriculum. Confidence in teaching Chemistry to A-Level is essential. You’ll be comfortable adjusting your approach for mixed-ability groups and keen to contribute positively to departmental planning. Reliability, initiative and a calm presence in the classroom will make a meaningful difference here.
