History Teacher – Birmingham

A high-performing secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher for a long-term supply role starting in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-regarded humanities department in a school rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, with engaged learners and supportive leadership.

  • Key Stages: KS3–KS4
 
The Role:
You’ll be delivering high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students explore topics from the medieval period through to the modern world. The department follows a well-structured curriculum and promotes active discussion, critical thinking, and source analysis. There may also be opportunities to support with GCSE preparation and intervention work.
 
The Candidate:
You’ll hold QTS and have a strong academic background in History or a related field. ECTs are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the secondary History curriculum, excellent behaviour management, and the ability to make history engaging, relevant, and accessible to all students.
