Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School – Walsall
Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor with a passion for supporting young people? A forward-thinking secondary school in Walsall is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students develop positive coping strategies, build confidence, and achieve both academically and socially. You will work alongside the pastoral and SEN teams to implement personalised support plans, track progress, and make a real impact in the lives of young people who may be struggling to succeed in mainstream education.

Job Role:
  • Providing 1-1 and small group support for students with behavioural needs
  • Building positive relationships to encourage engagement and self-regulation
  • Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to create and implement behaviour support strategies
  • Supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a calm and inclusive learning environment
  • Acting as a role model and mentor to encourage personal development and resilience
