Assistant Headteacher – Complex Needs
Experienced Assistant Headteacher required for a vibrant special school in Birmingham. Are you an experienced Assistant Headteacher who has previously worked with complex needs? Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity, working with a supportive leadership team?  This excellent special school required a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to manage and lead its nurturing complex needs provision.  The school has excellent facilities, and you have access to an abundance of resources, with the full support of the experienced Headteacher.

As Assistant Headteacher you will take responsibility for the school’s complex needs provision, managing a team of outstanding teachers and TA’s to ensure that the needs of every child are met. A strong understanding of complex needs, curriculum, and safeguarding is essential. This school is looking for an Assistant Headteacher who can make a real impact, ensuring that children with complex learning needs are provided with an outstanding education and exceptional care. The school are happy to consider an Assistant Headteacher from a primary or secondary background, however experience with complex learning needs is essential to be considered for this role.
 
Job Role:
  • Lead and manage the schools’ complex needs provision
  • Oversee curriculum development and delivery for pupils with Autism and communication needs
  • Support and mentor staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching
  • Work in partnership with families and external agencies to ensure outstanding pupil support
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership, planning, and improvement
