Job Description
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A highly regarded special school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Level 3 qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where pupils thrive, and staff are truly valued.
This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special needs including autism, communication difficulties, and learning delays. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a proven track record of working in a specialist or inclusive setting. You will play a vital role in helping pupils to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Job Role:
- Supporting pupils with autism and additional needs in a classroom setting
- Providing 1:1 and small group interventions
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals to deliver personalised support
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring progress and encouraging independence
- Joining an Ofsted-rated Good special school with excellent facilities
- Working as part of a highly skilled and supportive team
