About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bromley. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to high-quality education and tailored support that enables them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted interventions and learning support to pupils with SEND.
- Plan and deliver small group or 1:1 sessions, under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff.
- Support the development of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assist in monitoring pupil progress and adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals.
- Provide classroom support and cover lessons as required.
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent) with proven SEND experience.
- Strong understanding of a range of SEND needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
