Rate: Up to £390 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days on-site)
Are you an experienced Tribunal Officer with a strong background in SEND and Education Law? Hertfordshire is seeking skilled professionals to join their dynamic team and make a real difference to children and families navigating the EHCP Tribunal process.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and respond to SENDIST appeals, including mediation and tribunal hearings
• Prepare robust case statements and evidence bundles
• Represent the Local Authority in hearings, liaising with legal advisors and witnesses
• Support resolution of disputes and contribute to improved outcomes for children and young people
• Work closely with SEN Case Officers, legal teams, and external professionals
• Maintain accurate case records and timelines in line with statutory requirements

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, the Children and Families Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice
• Proven experience managing SEND Tribunal cases from start to finish
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle complex caseloads and meet tight deadlines
• Experience working within a Local Authority SEND team (desirable)
