Childrens Social Worker - Fostering Team - Brighton

Social Worker – Fostering team | Brighton | Part time 10 hrs per month | £35 per hour

We are seeking an experienced fostering supervising social worker to support a kinship foster carer based in Brighton. Although the carer is approved by Calderdale Council in West Yorkshire, the geographical distance necessitates the involvement of a local social worker who can provide consistent, face-to-face support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Regular supervisory and unannounced visits
• Attendance at meetings related to the children and fostering role
• Report writing and documentation of visits
• Completion of the annual review report for the foster carer

The role offers flexibility, with the possibility of conducting some visits during evenings or weekends to accommodate the family’s needs.
A named Practice Manager from Calderdale will provide regular virtual supervision and ongoing support to the successful candidate.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced fostering social worker with a strong understanding of kinship care. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be based in or near Brighton (BN1), as additional mileage expenses will not be covered.
