New Youth Justice Role!
 
We have an exciting opportunity to join a Youth Offending Service, as a Youth Offending Service Officer, placed in a West Midlands Council for a stable and well managed local authority.
 
The ideal candidate will have worked as a Case Manager / Youth Offending Officer in a local authority setting, be Asset Plus trained and ideally be based within the local area as the role will be hybrid.

  • Delivering targeted interventions to young people subject to Out of Court Disposals.
  • Supervise young people on court orders, community sentences and post release support
  • Support young people back into education or to find employment to reduce offending
  • Case manages medium-high risk cases
  • Completing quality ASSET assessments to identify a young person’s risk in relation to harm, dangerousness, re-offending, and vulnerability and to develop and implement linked risk management plans.
  • Supervise statutory court orders
  • Support young people on voluntary orders; referrals from the police/schools
  • Prevent re-offending and public protection.
  • Risk assesses and review assessments frequently in line with national standards
  • Prepare pre-sentence reports for sentencing of young people
  • Create and supervise bail support packages, where custody can be avoided.
  • Engage young people on targeted interventions to ensure their full potential is met
