Location: Enfield, United Kingdom
Salary: Up to £35.38 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for your next challenge? Pertemps is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join the Moving & Handling Team within Enfield’s Connect service. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys meaningful community work, and is confident managing urgent referral pathways.

About the Role: In this role, you will work as part of the Connect team triage service, managing urgent cases and providing essential support to residents. This includes gathering key information, completing assessments, and producing effective support plans to promote safety, independence, and wellbeing.
This is a full-time, community-based role with the benefit of hybrid working, offering flexibility alongside essential face-to-face visits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage urgent referrals within the triage service.
  • Carry out holistic assessments and gather essential information to support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement support plans tailored to client needs.
  • Complete moving and handling assessments, including home visits and follow-up reviews.
  • Recommend and arrange equipment or adaptations to maximise safety and independence.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.
Requirements:
  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in moving and handling within community or similar settings.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage caseloads, and respond to urgent needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
