💷 £390 per day

Pertemps are seeking an experienced SEND Tribunal Officer to join the team in Hertfordshire. This is a specialist role focused on delivering complex casework linked to appeals within the SEND Tribunal process, ensuring high-quality outcomes for children and young people aged 0–25.

The role will involve:
✨ Coordinating and leading on complex SEND tribunal casework where appeals are open.
✨ Handling cases relating to the identification, assessment, production, review, and maintenance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
✨ Providing oversight and representation of the Local Authority during SEND tribunal hearings.
✨ Engaging with families, young people, and education settings to ensure fair, accurate and timely resolution of appeals.

Person Specification – what we’re looking for:
✔ Proven experience working on SEND appeals, including representing a Local Authority at hearings.
✔ 2–3 years’ experience in, or closely aligned to, SEND services with strong awareness of provision and statutory requirements.
✔ Experience working within complex systems and processes in a SEND service.
✔ Skilled in building relationships with families and young people, offering guidance and clear communication in challenging circumstances.
