Fire Safety Engineer – London - £60,000


 


A leading global building services consultancy is looking to add an experienced Fire Engineer to their growing team. This consultancy is well known for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across high-profile projects in sectors such as commercial, healthcare, residential, aviation, and infrastructure. Salary Package
  • £40,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
  • Develop fire strategy reports and support design solutions for buildings across multiple sectors
  • Carry out CFD modelling, evacuation analysis, and fire safety system design
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines
  • Conduct site inspections and produce compliance reports
  • Provide fire engineering input through RIBA stages 1–6
  • Ensure all designs align with UK fire safety regulations and relevant standards
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to internal technical knowledge sharing
 


Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in a fire engineering consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations and fire codes (ADB, BS9999, BS7974, etc.)
  • Experience with modelling tools such as FDS, Pathfinder, or similar
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Chartered status or working toward it (e.g., IFE, CEng) is highly desirable
  • Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
