Job Description
What you'll be doing as a Senior GIS Analyst
- Managing, maintaining, and improving spatial datasets to support business operations and project delivery
- Providing technical GIS support, analysis, and data visualisation to internal teams and stakeholders
- Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate standards
- Supporting system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements across GIS platforms
- Developing tools, reports, and maps to aid decision-making and improve data accessibility
- Mentoring and supporting junior GIS colleagues to develop their technical skills
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure GIS data and systems align with business needs
What you should bring to the role
- Strong experience in GIS data management, analysis, and visualisation (e.g., using ESRI ArcGIS or similar platforms)
- Proven ability to deliver accurate spatial data and analysis in a large or complex organisation
- Understanding of data quality principles and experience maintaining enterprise spatial databases
- Experience with SQL, Python, or automation tools would be an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and guide others
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the confidence to identify and drive improvements
- Competitive salary £52480 per annum
- 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
