Job Description
What you’ll be doing as a Senior Transformation Manager
You will be accountable for the successful delivery of high-impact business programmes, working in a variety of environments – whether leading or supporting a matrix team, or driving individual projects. Your expertise will help ensure our multi-year transformation plans are well defined, justified, and deliver measurable benefits to the business and our customers.
A key focus in the role will be the delivery of critical transformation activity across our Engineering capability. This underpins our ability to deliver against a record AMP8 investment plan and performance commitments. In doing so, you will work with a breadth of internal and external stakeholders to refine and implement transformational change to the delivery of Engineering Services across the end-to-end Project and Asset Lifecycle – Ensuring Operational and Capital Delivery teams are successful.
Main areas of focus will include:
- Manage the delivery of strategic programmes, enabling the realisation of business benefits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for programme delivery status.
- Lead, motivate, and develop programme teams, driving a culture of professional excellence.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and clear communication.
- Champion industry best practices and methodologies throughout the organisation.
What you should bring to the role
- A proven track record of successfully delivering complex transformation or efficiency programmes, ideally within the utilities sector.
- Experience leading matrix and virtual teams, as well as delivering results independently.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly at the Head of level or above.
- Consultancy background and experience in operational turnaround are highly desirable.
- Self-motivation, pragmatism, and a passion for driving change.
- Experience of operating and /or delivering change across Engineering activity in an infrastructure environment is desirable but not essential.
What’s in it for you?
- Daily Pay rate: Between £500 & £700 per day, depending on skills and experience.
- IR35 determination: Inside IR35.
- Location: This is a ‘hybrid’ role with the base location being Clearwater Court in Reading, RG1 8DB. There is an expectation to be in the office approximately 3 days a week and travel across the Thames Water estate.
- Length of assignment: 26 weeks
- Required Start date: ASAP.
