Job Description

Executive Assistant 

Pertemps are recruiting for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team for our client. This is a key role, providing high-level executive support, coordinating governance and committee activities, and ensuring smooth communication across the organisation.

Monday–Friday, Full Time (37.5 hours/week), £34,525 per annum, in the heart of Plymouth.
Some regional and national travel may be required
Hybrid work may be considered

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide executive support to the CEO and leadership team, including diary management, scheduling meetings, travel coordination, and correspondence.
  • Prepare high-quality documents, presentations, and communications.
  • Organise and facilitate meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Support governance by managing board and committee meetings, preparing board packs, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory reporting, including deadlines for statutory submissions.
  • Coordinate projects, work plans, and organisational events to ensure smooth delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience supporting senior executives or boards.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, online collaboration tools, and AI-assisted tools.
  • Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality are essential.
Desirable:
  • Experience in charities, not-for-profits, or the public sector.
  • Knowledge of governance and compliance in regulated environments.
