KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields OR equivalent experience
- Solid experience in supply/production planning
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Capability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- SAP software
- Microsoft Excel; vlookup, pivot tables
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in supply planning, inventory management, or related supply chain roles.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Knowledge of supply chain software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Planning: Develop comprehensive supply plans based on demand forecasts, historical data, and production capacities. Optimise inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess stock holding.
Demand Collaboration: Work closely with the Demand Manager and sales teams to understand customer demands, market trends, and upcoming promotions to align supply plans accordingly.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, identifying potential risks of stockouts or overstock situations and implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Production Scheduling: Ensure production scheduling aligned with production teams to schedule manufacturing activities based on the supply plan and ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of raw materials, components, or finished products, resolving any supply-related issues.
Data Analysis: Utilise various data analysis tools to assess supply chain performance, identify areas for improvement and develop actionable insights.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain continuity in supply.
Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times and optimise supply chain costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Logistics, Procurement, and Quality, to foster effective communication and align supply chain efforts.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and present findings to management.
