Job Description

Private Client Locum Solicitor - Job Ref: 215301395

Location: Devon
Assignment Type: Locum – Long-Term Sickness Cover
Start Date: Immediate
Working Arrangement: Primarily office-based, with some flexibility possible

An established and well-regarded law firm in Devon is seeking an experienced Private Client Locum to step in and provide cover during a period of long-term staff absence.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team, handling a steady and manageable caseload of Wills, Trusts, and Probate work. The role requires someone confident working with minimal supervision and comfortable working in a largely paper-based environment.

What’s on Offer:
Caseload: A varied and engaging mix of Wills, Probate, and Trusts matters
Support Structure: You’ll have access to strong secretarial and paralegal support to help manage workflow
Office Environment: Files are paper-based, so most work will be carried out on-site
Hybrid Working: Some flexibility may be available, but this would need to be discussed depending on client needs and office arrangements

Ideal Candidate:
• A qualified solicitor or legal executive with solid experience in Private Client matters
• Able to manage files independently from instruction through to completion
• Available to commit to an ongoing assignment and start at short notice
• Confident in a client-facing, office-based role
