Residential Conveyancing Locum – Bristol
Ongoing Contract | £Competitive (DOE) | Hybrid Working

We are currently working with a respected high street firm based in Bristol that is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Locum to provide interim support while the firm recruits for a permanent position.

The Role

You will be joining a supportive and collaborative team, handling a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion. Administrative support will be provided by a conveyancing assistant.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a full caseload including:

• Sales and purchases (registered/unregistered, freehold/leasehold)
• Re-mortgages
• Transfers of equity
• Equity release
• Right to buy transactions
• Handle files from initial enquiry to completion, including post-completion formalities
• Ensure a high standard of client service in line with the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the conveyancing chain
• Provide support and supervision to junior team members as needed

About You

• Qualified as a Solicitor, Legal Executive (CILEx), or Licensed Conveyancer
• Minimum 2–5 years’ PQE in residential conveyancing
• Confident in managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
