We’re currently recruiting for a confident, customer-focused Operations Agent to join DHL’s busy Service Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers.

The Role
As an Operations Agent, you will be the face of the Service Centre – handling customer queries, supporting operational processes, and ensuring a professional, welcoming front-of-house environment. From managing visitors to responding to calls and emails, your role is vital in upholding the company’s customer service standards.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external customer enquiries
  • Providing administrative and operational support across the Service Centre
  • Answering inbound calls and responding to queries professionally and efficiently
  • Managing customer collections and handling problem shipments
  • Maintaining a professional reception area and ensuring all visitors are greeted appropriately
  • Using various IT systems to process documentation in line with company procedures
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety, customs, and security regulations
  • Identifying and reporting any potential security concerns or service issues
  • Representing DHL with a high level of professionalism at all times
What We're Looking For You will be:
  • Customer-service driven with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident handling face-to-face and telephone interactions
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks under pressure
  • Proficient with IT systems and comfortable working across multiple applications
  • A great team player who remains calm and professional in all situations
  • Adaptable and open to new processes and ways of working
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of operational or logistics environments
  • Understanding of Dangerous Goods and customs procedures (preferred)
  • Previous admin or front-of-house experience
  • GCSEs in Maths and English
