Job Description
Our client near Penrith are a Poultry Hatchery & Breeding unit, fully committed to excellence in poultry production.
They are currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team.
(To be successful we ask that you do not have any poultry at home as well as an avian pet)
Hatchery responsibilities include:
• Handling operations of both eggs and chicks
• Setting of fertile eggs
• Candling and monitoring incubation parameters
• Maintaining a high standard of hygiene
Breeding farm responsibilities include:
• Daily care of poultry
• Monitoring health & behaviour of birds
• Egg collection & record keeping
• Assisting with breeding programs & hatchery operations.
Requirements for this position:
• Physically fit and willing to work in farm conditions.
• Team player with a good work ethic
• Willing to work weekends/holidays
• Experience in poultry or animal farming preferred, but not required (training provided)
Benefits:
From £26,208 to £31,449 per annum
Hours:
This is a full time role, minimum 40 hours per week.
4 on / 4 off shift pattern OR 6 on / 2 off shift pattern
