HGV Class 2 Driver

Pertemps Lincoln are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Dray Driver to join our client’s busy distribution team based in Grantham.
 
This is a full-time, ongoing position, working Monday to Friday with 06:00 starts. Each shift will typically last 8–10 hours. This is a physically demanding role, delivering kegs and beverages to local pubs, restaurants, and venues alongside a driver’s mate.
 
What will I be doing as a Class 2 Drivers?

• Delivering kegs and drinks products safely and efficiently to customer premises
• Working as part of a two-person team (driver and drayman’s mate)
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring loads are secured correctly
• Providing excellent customer service at each delivery point
• Following all health and safety and manual handling procedures
• Completing daily paperwork and delivery logs accurately

 
What skills and experience do I need?

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum of 2 years Class 2 driving experience
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional always

 
What hours will I be working?

• Monday to Friday
• Start time: 06:00
• Average shift length: 8–10 hours

 
What will I be paid?

• £16.00 per hour (PAYE)
• £17.66 per hour (PAYE) After 12 weeks worked
