Job Title: Facilities Technician


Start Date: ASAP


Contract Length: 3 weeks initially- possibility of extension


Hours: Monday- Friday (9am-5pm)


Pay Rate: £13.18-£14.66 per hour


Location: Edinburgh (EH8)


 


We’re currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join our clients team on a short-term basis with the potential for extension. This hands-on role involves general building maintenance, repairs, and support for day-to-day facilities operations across their site in Edinburgh.


 


Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance inspections and perform necessary repairs on building systems, following direction from the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Assist in other general facilities duties such as moving equipment, replacing light bulbs,
• or fixing furniture.

 

Key Skills:

• Background in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC).
  • Must be proactive and fit and able to perform tasks.
  • Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and take instruction.
  • Basic knowledge of building safety and compliance standards.
