Our client in Kettering is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join the dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity in which you'll be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, excellent practical skills, and the ability to work accurately and safely to engineering specifications and industry standards.

The Role:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be integral to the assembly of cutting-edge automation solutions, product handling grippers, and general fitting within robotic cells. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Bench fitting of mechanical components.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings with precision.
• Assembly of mechanical parts, ensuring high standards of quality and functionality.
• Proficiently using a variety of hand tools.
• Performing accurate drilling and tapping operations.

About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can add significant value to our team and is enthusiastic about developing their skills within the company. You'll have:

• Proven experience in bench fitting.
• A strong ability to read and understand complex mechanical drawings.
• Demonstrable experience in the assembly of mechanical parts.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools.
• Skills in drilling and tapping.
• Any experience using a milling machine or with electrical assembly would be a distinct advantage.

Salary and hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 8am-4:30pm (30 miunties unpaid lunch)
• £15-£16 per hour (Depending on experience)
