The Opportunity:

As a Commercial Property Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a full and varied caseload from instruction through to completion. You will be expected to build strong and lasting client relationships, maintain the highest standards of professionalism and client care, and work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial property matters, alongside the opportunity to further develop your skills and progress your career within a firm that truly values its people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial property matters including agricultural property, sales and purchases, landlord and tenant (leases, renewals, licenses, and ancillary documents), option agreements, conditional sale and purchase agreements, property finance, sale and leaseback, overage agreements, and deeds of grant.
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard in line with firm procedures, quality standards, and client care expectations.
- Progress client matters in a timely and efficient manner, keeping clients regularly updated on progress and costs.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client and firm documentation using the case management system.
- Take responsibility for credit control on own files, with support from the Accounts team.
- Ensure compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, Code of Conduct, and Conveyancing Quality Standard.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, referrers, and external organisations to support business development.
- Supervise and support the legal assistant, ensuring effective performance and development.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute constructively to team discussions.
- Take ownership of personal development, keeping up to date with legal developments and completing required training.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in managing a wide range of commercial property transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional tone and clear client correspondence.
- Organisational ability to manage competing priorities and work to agreed KPIs.
- Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and case management systems (Proclaim preferred).
- A collaborative team player, able to work positively and respectfully with colleagues.
- Commitment to delivering high standards of client service and maintaining long-term professional relationships.
