Job Description
Full-Time | Permanent | £30,000 per annum
We are currently seeking a 2D CAD Engineer / Estimator to join a busy and expanding office-based engineering team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Producing profile drawings using 2D AutoCAD (or similar software)
- Working accurately to instruction while meeting deadlines
- Supporting estimation and related office-based engineering tasks
- Remaining flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience producing 2D profile drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent
- Engineering background preferred
- Experience with Lantek software is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to recognise material types such as S275, S355, CR4, 304, 316, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

- Able to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Lunch: 1 hour per day
- Total: 39.5 hours per week
Salary
- £30,000 per annum
