Job Description
Salary & Shifts:
- £35,000 per annum (includes shift allowance)
- Rotating shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm - Plenty of overtime available
Join a leading steel processing company at the heart of the Black Country, supporting production through proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance.
Role Overview:
- Work as part of a 2-person team (1 Electrician, 1 Mechanical Engineer)
- Carry out preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns
- Complete shift reports and maintain safety standards
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Read engineering drawings
- General welding, fabrication, and bench fitting
- Oxygen/acetylene burning
- Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and overhead cranes
- Completed apprenticeship or time-served in mechanical maintenance
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance
- Experience in a heavy industrial environment
