Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Role Purpose
This is a pivotal role within the operations team, focused on building and managing a strong network of subcontractors to meet increasing project demand. The position combines people management, operational oversight, and financial compliance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, recruit, and onboard subcontractors to meet current workload and future business needs.
- Lead and motivate a team, creating a positive culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Manage subcontractor and engineer performance through consistent communication and oversight.
- Oversee several projects at once, balancing deadlines with quality and compliance.
- Use systems and tools effectively, including advanced Excel, for workflow management and reporting.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to direct and indirect team members.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, adapting communication style to influence effectively.
- Review and improve operational processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and simplify delivery.
- Take a hands-on approach to learning and applying systems that drive operational performance.
- Ensure financial accuracy and compliance across subcontractor and project operations.
- Manage purchase order processes, confirming all details are correct and approved before issue.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery documentation, resolving discrepancies quickly.
- Maintain accurate financial records, supporting the finance team with reporting requirements.
- Demonstrable experience in managing people and developing teams.
- Strong working knowledge of operational systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
- High-level Excel skills, with experience using data to support decisions.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at every level.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Committed to continuous improvement, efficiency, and best practice.
- Experience with financial compliance processes, including purchase orders and invoice validation, is highly advantageous.
