Building Fabric Engineer
I have a fantastic opportunity for a Building Fabric Engineer to work across several sites in the North West.
Hours of Work: 8.00-17.00 hrs
Mon - Fri, 1 hr lunch, 40 hours per week
The main purpose of the role is to control and manage the workload and outputs of building fabric sub-contractors and in-house teams ensuring safety, quality and value for money are always delivered.
You will be responsible for the management of in-house delivery teams ensuring high levels of quality and productivity at all times.
The Management and control of sub-contractors including review and sign off of risk assessments and method statements for high risk / high value works.
Auditing of inhouse resource and sub-contracted workmanship and ensure high quality performance at all times.
Evaluating data and performance statistics on a monthly basis, ensuring a documented action plan is applied for any out of line situations and always ensuring KPIs are met.
Working with the Health and Safety Advisor and other operational colleagues to undertake pre-start meetings, site safety inspections and audits of sub-contractors
Providing advice on general building fabric matters, methods of work and value for money ensuring all works are completed on time and to budget
Frequent travel throughout the North West of England
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Professional knowledge acquired through HND/degree (NVQ4/5) or specialist knowledge or equivalent level of knowledge acquired through trade apprenticeship, courses and experience.
NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely qualification
Experience of management in a building fabric environment or similar role.
Excellent interpersonal and team working skills required to deal professionally and effectively with client representatives.
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages
Clean, full driving licence required.
